Pro Carbon Kids Downhill Mountain Bikes
In the world of high-performance sport there is no substitute for top quality components. These are downhill mountain bikes built for riding families, who value and desire a high-performance ride, other than a B-grade mass-market bike, that lacks the higher performance capabilities required for full downhill. All Beast bikes sport a progressive linkage designed to run a standard adult rear shock at an average of 100 – 150 psi. Due to the extensive leverage, the bike is able to perform like an adult bike. For children to achieve a seamless riding progression and experience an accelerated riding performance, the best quality riding components matter greatly. The secret to a high-performance downhill bike is in the sum of its parts. Our Beast range contains select high-performance riding components and modern light-weight materials. Our signature bikes are hand-built, lightweight and capable of delivering high-performance riding experiences for all kids. They are designed to provide the authentic downhill riding experience to children, removing the current limitations and barriers of mass-market kids’ mountain bikes. Our carbon kid’s bikes are capable of conquering advanced downhill trails and track features.

Components
Carbon Downhill MTB Wheelset
The wheelsets feature one of the highest spec downhill wheel-sets on the MTB market. They sport full UD custom carbon rims and 32 titanium spokes to lighten the wheel to keep the unsprung weight down. By reducing the unsprung weight, the wheel will return faster which gives the wheel more traction, to ensure more compliance and a stable platform. This is critical for young, lightweight riders. Top of the range Hope Pro-4 hubs are added for their light-weight superiority and sealed stainless-steel cartridge bearings which reduce maintenance for those wet and muddy rides.
MB Carbon Frame
Our carbon frames are made from UD carbon fiber to reduce bike weight, and allow us to lay extra carbon in the high-stress areas that are needed by a downhill rider. The 24” and 26” frames have a lightweight, NZ-made, custom CNC linkage designed to function with kids in mind. This specialized linkage increases strength and helps reduce the weight of the bikes. The suspension is designed to give forgiveness in all the right places and response time every time kids ask for it. Double sealed enduro bearings are used to keep water and mud out. The shock runs on high-tech needle bearings to reduce stiction in the linkage for a smooth, responsive ride. This allows the suspension to work accurately for lightweight riders over the smallest bumps and allows high traction and control. Our frame geometry is designed for the lowest standover height, combined with the most travel possible. Internal cable routing for brakes and gears is better on kids’ bikes so they don’t get tangled and hooked up if they fall. The one-piece rear carbon triangle maintains stability and stiffness in the bikes to allow for aggressive trail riding, hard cornering and big jumps.
Drive Train
The drivetrain consists of full Sram XO1 7-speed running gear. This keeps the weight down as light as possible and it has a very, easy child-friendly trigger motion for small hands. Now, any child can change gears with no effort. The 7-speed short-cage derailer is short enough for 20’ wheels and ensures it has plenty of ground clearance and less chance of rock strikes.
